How to dispose of your empty cardboard boxes
Ok, so you have moved and you are ready now to unpack your belongings from the moving boxes? Now what? It is time to get rid of the empty medium boxes unless you want to keep them, which would not be a good idea. You have to now determine whether you will recycle the cardboard boxes or just dump them. You will need certain moving supplies to pack up the empty cardboard boxes like stretch wrap, wrap pack and seal , bubble wrap or packing paper.
Here are some simple steps in packing up your empty cardboard boxes:
Never crush the cardboard moving boxes with your feet. Instead use a sharp knife to cut the packing tape that was used to wrap the bottom of the cardboard boxes. Then you can fold the box flat. A box cutter would be probably the recommended tool to use to make the cutting easier and faster. Now you are going to fold the flattened cardboard moving boxes and lay them against a wall or upright.Next, you will have to arrange the boxes in groups of small, medium and large according to shape.Use the packing tape or the rope and pack all the moving boxes closely together. This will allow the cardboard boxes to take up less room before you have a chance to get rid of them. It will also make it easier, if you are recycling to carry it there. If you have adequate storage and you think you will need more cardboard boxes in the near future, it will be easier to store when tied neatly together.
Using rope
If you are using rope to tie the cardboard boxes, then remember to put them in bundles according to size and shape. You will find it easier to keep them together.
Use packing tape
Again organize all the flat cardboard boxes in a similar pile according to size and shape. You will be able to manage them better and keep them together.
